‘Systemic change involves a comprehensive overhaul of a system to create lasting impact by reshaping system structures to address root issues. It acknowledges that mental and behavioural health stems from circumstances, not just disorders, and that systems need to evolve to support this….
Interventions
An intervention is a carefully planned and structured process where family, friends, or loved ones confront an individual struggling with addiction or mental and behavioural health issues. The goal is to help the person recognize the impact of their behaviour on themselves and others, and to encourage them to seek treatment. Intervention, when handled with care and expertise, can be the key turning point that inspires individuals to seek the help they need.
Interventions are often necessary when individuals are in denial about their condition, resistant to seeking help, or unable to fully comprehend the severity of their situation. It is a moment to break through denial and encourage the individual to take the first steps toward recovery with the support of their loved ones.
Systemic Changes designs and leads interventions with a professional, evidence-based approach that takes into account the complexities of both addiction and mental and behavioural health issues. Interventions can be emotionally charged, and our facilitators are skilled in managing a range of emotional responses—from anger and denial to fear or hopelessness. Our goal is to keep the conversation constructive and focused on the individual’s health and future.
